I have been sent the summer edition of Age Cymru’s bi-lingual newsletter Age Matters which is packed full of useful information for older people.
This edition features the results of Age Cymru’s second nationwide survey of more than 1,200 older people’s experiences of lockdown restrictions during the winter months. It also features a survey of more than 300 unpaid older carers where more than half say they have not tried to access support.
It contains a report on the work being done to help create workplaces where older people can thrive and how the Awen Institute based at Swansea university is looking to co-produce products, services and environments for an ageing population.
It also reports on how planning for the future can help provide peace of mind and security for older people and their loved ones, and has an uplifting story of how one retired IT consultant is keeping older people fit and healthy during lockdown through the use of digital technology.
I am sharing and hope that you please share Age Matters with as many people as possible to help Age Cymru reach older people across Wales.
