Giving free garden packages to communities where green spaces really matter.

Last year, more than 500 green spaces across the country were created, restored and enhanced through the Local Places for Nature project. Community groups and organisations of all shapes and sizes got involved – from disability charities and youth groups to social enterprises and care groups.

Now, thanks to support from Welsh Government, Local Places for Nature have got hundreds more packages available to give out to deserving communities who can work with Local Places for Nature to reverse nature’s decline, work towards a more sustainable environment and provide an important boost to the well-being of local communities across Wales.

In 2021-22, priority will be given to projects in urban, deprived areas, and areas with little or no access to nature. Local Places for Nature are also really keen to welcome applications from underrepresented groups across Wales.

If you are interested in finding out more about how Local Places for Nature can support your local Constituency and the wider Welsh community or would like to visit a Local Places for Nature site then please email us at nature@keepwalestidy.cymru and we will be delighted to help.

You can also find further information about the project by visiting the
Keep Wales Tidy website.
